We are pleased to announce that Professor Toru Kuranuki has been awarded the title of Honorary Professor by the Mongolian National University of Arts and Culture.

This honor recognizes his contributions to deepening contemporary art knowledge and understanding among artists and students in the field of visual arts, as well as his efforts in advancing cultural exchange and collaborative activities between Japan and Mongolia. In conjunction with the appointment, Professor Kuranuki delivered a lecture at the university, engaging in extensive dialogue with students and faculty on artistic expression and creative attitudes in contemporary art, and on the importance of learning that begins with the act of “seeing.” Professor Kuranuki often emphasizes that “the greatest study is to see.” At his exhibition at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, he has also welcomed many students, creating opportunities for exchange after their viewing of the works.

He shared further thoughts, stating that “an artist is someone who can continue pushing beyond limits until the very moment of death,” and that “it is a parent’s responsibility to show children great works of art, and a CEO’s responsibility to cultivate employees with taste and discernment.” He concluded with a powerful message: “Art begins at seventy. Even now, at seventy-seven, I am only getting started.”

K Veritas will continue to support initiatives that nurture the creativity of the next generation.
